Former Blink-182 guitarist and singer Tom DeLonge has sold his songwriting catalog to Hipgnosis Songs, a London-based music investment and management company. According to the official announcement, Hipgnosis has acquired 100 percent of DeLonge’s copyrights on this catalog, which consists of 157 songs.
DeLonge said in a statement, “It is an honor to have been playing music for so many years and to be in a position to partner with the great team at Hipgnosis to support my work. This is now a perfect opportunity for me to not only celebrate my past, but to also give me the foundation to create more music for many decades to come.”
DeLonge's catalog includes the first six Blink albums and many of the trio's most popular songs, including tracks like “What’s My Age Again?,” “All the Small Things” and “Stay Together For The Kids.” His output also includes the music on all five albums by his subsequent act, Angels & Airwaves.
DeLonge told us a while back that both of his main musical outlets have reflected the two sides of his personality: “I really am both those guys. I really grew up on a skateboard, doing crazy, illegal dumb s***, you know, that I should have gone to jail for and definitely maybe one day it'll make it into a book. But then I also am the guy that I'm a very New Age, kind of — there's a lot of spirituality that's part of my life and both those sides are me.”
DeLonge recently teased the arrival of a new Angels & Airwaves track titled “Time Bomb,” as well as a documentary about the band. DeLonge reactivated the group in 2018, with the group touring and issuing two new songs, “Kiss And Tell” and “Rebel Girl.”
