Tool is among the headliners of the 2020 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, set to take place June 11th through the 14th at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee. Other rock and alternative acts scheduled to appear are The Struts, Vampire Weekend, The 1975, Primus, Tenacious D, Lana Del Rey, Young The Giant, Dashboard Confessional, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien and many more.
Tool will close out the festivities on Friday, June 12th, while fellow headliners Lizzo and Tame Impala will top the bills on Saturday (June 13th) and Sunday (June 14th) respectively. Tool previously headlined Bonnaroo in 2007.
Tool drummer Danny Carey told us a while back how festivals changed since the band first started doing them in the early '90s: “You know, one of the things is now that most of them, they do put up barriers and stuff. You know, you live and learn, kind of learn from your mistakes. They just get a little smoother organized, you know, and people figure out how to deal with the numbers of people to make it more comfortable.”
Tickets for Bonnaroo go on sale Thursday (January 9th) at noon ET. In 2019, the festival sold out for the first time in six years. For more info, including camping and packages, visit the festival's web site.
