Bon Jovi returns to the toad this spring with special guest Bryan Adams. The initial arena dates begin on June 10th in Tacoma, Washington at the Tacoma Dome and run through the end of July when the tour hits New York's Madison Square Garden over two nights — July 27th and 28th.
Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, January 24th at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Every ticket sold includes one CD copy of Bon Jovi 2020, which has yet to be given a firm release date.
Jon Bon Jovi explained a while ago that deciding on a setlist for a tour is hardly as easy as one might imagine: “Yeah, it's, it's a little bit hard, because truthfully, a lot of folks that come to see us, they expect to hear all the hits and that'll take up a lot of the show. But there needs to be room for the new record, which we're playing a lot of these days — as well as the catalogue, and the album tracks from the catalogue. So, I've been thinking about songs like 'Dry County,' or 'Right Side Of Wrong,' and 'Hey God,' and 'Joey,' and 'When We Were Beautiful,' and 'Love's The Only Rule,' and 'Something To Believe In' — I can go on forever. There's a lot of songs from a lot of albums, and then there's a lot of hits. Y'know, there's only so much you can do in a night.”
Bryan Adams told us that during every concert, he's always looking for ways to connect with the crowd and get them personally involved with the show: “I'll see someone out there and it'll just spur on some sort of barrage of comments and then from there just get people involved and then next thing you know, someone will yell something. It's called audience participation really. It's also just trying to have laugh with everybody. If somebody wants to hear a song, y'know, sometimes we drag 'em up on stage.”
