Little Big Town will perform a one-night-only special concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City tonight (Thursday, Jan. 16th). This is the venue's first mainstream country performance since Alan Jackson in 2013, and it will be the only time the group performs their upcoming album, Nightfall, from start to finish. The concert also kicks off the group's tour of the same name, which rolls on to New York's Apollo Theater tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 17th) and Saturday (Jan. 18th).
This is the first time the group has played either historic venue. Phillip Sweet and Karen Fairchild tell us: “I’m just so, so thrilled, I can’t even believe it’s gonna be happening. (Karen) Carnegie Hall will be different than any other night, because we’re gonna sing the record top to bottom in sequence, and because Carnegie Hall is so, well, there’s only one, and it’ll have a little bit different of a production feeling than the rest of the tour. So, I know a lot of fans are trying to make it to Carnegie ‘cause that’s a one-night only deal, and then The Apollo starts off the normal production of shows.”
Little Big Town's new Nightfall album will be released on Friday. The collection features their latest single, “Over Drinking.”
