Miranda Lambert is Grammy-bound this weekend as a double nominee. Her hit single, “It All Comes Out In The Wash,” is up for Best Country Song and her trio, Pistol Annies, are up for Best Country Album for their 2018 release, Interstate Gospel.
Miranda co-wrote “It All Comes Out In The Wash” with a group of female hit songwriters who call themselves the Love Junkies — Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose and Lori McKenna. She is a frequent co-writer of theirs, and she tells us their usual talks and her title came together to create this song. “I had the title for awhile written down in my phone, and we like to talk about girlie things and things going on in life when we write together so I feel like this song is just kind of a mix of scenarios that either all of us have been a part of or seen or something that's happened in all of our lives and realizing that when you have something in your life that's a little hurtful or, you know, a moment that you wish would pass, it does all pass and it all comes out in the wash, and that's something that all of our moms would say to us when we were little — let's not worry about a stain — so I'm really proud of it. It's a really fun song.”
The Grammy Awards airs live from Los Angeles on Sunday (Jan. 26th) on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
