Riley Green says that his debut single and Number One hit, “There Was This Girl,” was a total game changer for him. He explains: “It’s pretty night and day. I’d say that when I was going out and playing shows prior to my record deal and number one, I was having to win everybody over with one song at a time and try to get fans at every show and now I get to go out and, yeah, maybe there’s a lot of people that haven’t heard me play before but they know ‘There Was This Girl.’ They might listen to five songs and go, ‘That guy’s pretty good,’ or he’s this or that or he’s whatever, but when that song comes on everybody stands up and sings it, and that’s something that’s pretty special and you can’t get that without having a lot of radio stations believe in you and play your music.”
Riley sits in the Top 15 on the charts with his latest single, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
He will open for Jason Aldean on his We Back Tour beginning on Thursday (Jan. 30th) in Columbia, SC.
