Pearl Jam has debuted a second music video for the band's new single, “Dance Of The Clairvoyants.” After premiering the first clip last week, subtitled “Mach I,” the group has now shared the second one, subtitled “Mach II.”
While the first clip was almost solely composed of images of global weather environments, the new clip continues with those images while adding shots of the band performing the song.
“Dance Of The Clairvoyants” is the first single from Pearl Jam's upcoming 11th studio album, Gigaton, which is due out March 27th and is the Seattle acts first LP since 2013's Lightning Bolt.
The videos, album art and even the title all have a connection to environmental issues. Singer Eddie Vedder told us a while back that it was important for the band to put these questions in front of fans: “Bringing it up and saying, 'What are we doing to this planet?' — it's an obvious thing to be thinking about these days. And it just so happens that in our job, you know, there's a microphone, and people in front of it, and us behind it, and I guess we're gonna use it for what it's worth.”
Pearl Jam will embark on its first leg of North American tour dates in support of Gigaton in March and April, kicking off on March 18th in Toronto.
