Slipknot's very first demo, recorded in 1995 before singer Corey Taylor joined the band, briefly surfaced on YouTube on Wednesday (January 29th) before being taken down again.
The 12-minute demo, which features original Slipknot vocalist Anders Colsefni, featured four songs: “Some Feel,” “Fur,” “Tattered And Torn” and “Part Of Me.”
The demos were recorded prior to the band's self-released 1996 LP, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., which was the band's only official release with Colsefni before Taylor joined as frontman in 1997.
The video's description read, “This is the original demo which was given by Paul (Gray, late Slipknot bassist) to a close friend. After owning the demo for 20+ years, that friend sold the demo in 2018. Without Paul's friend, aka Jubil Lee, chances are this demo would have never seen the light of day.”
Percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan is the only remaining member from this era of the group who still remains in Slipknot. The current version of the band is touring behind its sixth LP, last year's We Are Not Your Kind.
