Darius Rucker is among the newest inductees into the South Carolina Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place on Friday (Feb. 7th) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Darius is a native of Charleston, SC, where he currently lives with his family.
Morgan Wallen has added a second night at London’s The Garage to his recently-announced UK headline tour. The new show will take place on May 16th. His string of overseas dates begins on May 14th in Manchester.
Trisha Yearwood paid all adoption fees for animals adopted from Maury County, Tennessee Animal Services on Saturday (Feb. 8th). At the time, she noted that the kennels at the facility were full and urged fans to adopt the pets.
Gene Watson was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry family on Saturday (Feb. 8th) by Opry member Steve Wariner. Gene said, “It’s hard to find the words to say, so I guess better than talking I ought to sing. So many people contributed to this wonderful night, and I make a promise to everyone to keep up the tradition of country music.” He performed his classic hits “Got No Reason Now For Goin’ Home,” “Fourteen Carat Mind,” and “Farewell Party.”
Sam Hunt released a new song called “Hard To Forget” on Friday (Feb. 7th). He co-wrote the song, which will be included on his upcoming sophomore album, Southside, due out on April 3rd. Sam is closing in on the top of the country charts with “Kinfolks.”
