Rage Against The Machine has announced a full 40-date world tour. The reunited quartet of singer Zack De La Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford will start in March at several cities along or near the Mexican border, before headlining the 2020 installment of Coachella in Indio, California.
The rest of the spring and fall will see the group playing a number of arena shows and festivals, including Boston Calling, Firefly Music Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest. The band will then head to Europe in late summer for a string of major festival shows.
While it's no coincidence that Rage is coming back in an election year, guitarist Tom Morello told us a while back why he prefers to stay out of politics directly: “I worked for two years as the scheduling secretary for U.S. Senator Alan Cranston, and that cured me of any desire to enter the world of electoral politics. While Cranston was very progressive politically, you know, he spent a lot of the time that I was with him on the phone asking rich guys for money, and that money never comes free.”
Rage Against The Machine last played together in 2011 at the L.A. Rising festival in Los Angeles.
