BTS took over Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and ended the hour by performing their new song “No” in the middle of Grand Central Terminal.
The show emptied out the historic train station to have the K-Pop group perform in the middle of the giant hall.
BTS joined Jimmy while riding in a subway car and did the entire interview there, where Jimmy asked the group some of the BTS Army’s hard-hitting questions and chatted about their favorite shows (Home Alone is one of them), the experience of fame, dream jobs (V wanted to be a saxophonist).
BTS also competed in a subway Olympics game and visited Katz’s Deli, where they served the establishment’s famous pastrami sandwiches.
It marked the first time Fallon taped an episode on the subway.
BTS’ new album Map Of The Soul: 7 is set to start at No. 1 on charts around the globe. Based on early chart data, it's racing to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the summit of the Official U.K. Albums Chart.
What’s the significance of the seven, Fallon asked. “It’s a lucky number of course, seven years, it’s been seven years since we’ve been together,” RM explained. “Seven is like the jackpot.”
