The Steve Miller Band has tagged five new stops onto its already heavy spring and summer tour with country legend Marty Stuart & The Superlatives. New dates now on the books are May 1st in Scottsdale, Arizona; May 3rd in Redondo Beach, California; June 11th in Austin, Texas; June 24th in Youngstown, Ohio; and June 29th in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
We recently caught up to Steve Miller and quizzed him on some of the gear he currently brings out on the road: “I'm carrying Les Paul's and Stratocasters. I have a huge guitar collection; about 450 guitars and probably two-thirds of them are built especially for me. I really enjoy working with luthiers. Y'know, I have a couple really old Les Paul's and, y'know, one of my original Strats that I still carry on the road and I still play 'em. Y'know, there's nothing like the real deal. Although, having said that; the new reissue guitars that both Fender and Gibson make are as good as any guitars they've ever made.”
