Red Sun Rising has shared an official statement announcing that the Ohio-based band is going on an “indefinite hiatus.”
The band issued the statement via social media, expressing gratitude towards its fans for their support and urging them to continue to follow the band members on an individual basis.
Addressed to “all our beloved fans,” the full statement said, “Red Sun Rising will officially be entering into an indefinite hiatus. We will be forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout the years. Thank you for making RSR an unforgettable chapter in our lives. Please continue to follow us individually for updates on our newest projects. We hope to move forward with all of you into the next phase of our careers.”
Red Sun Rising was formed in 2007 and self-released two albums, 2010's self-titled debut and 2011's Making Of Kings — before landing a record deal with the Razor & Tie label.
That led to two more albums, 2015's Polyester Zeal and 2018's Thread, along with an EP last year called Peel. Polyester Zeal featured the singles “The Otherside” and “Emotionless,” which became back-to-back Number Ones at rock radio.
