Coldplay has unveiled the video for “Trouble in Town,” the latest track released from the band's new album Everyday Life.
Inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm, the clip features political pigs brawling on a debate stage, a streetwise fox on the run from a corrupt snow leopard cop and a homeless deer reading a copy of Orwell's book on the street.
Proceeds from the track will be split between two nonprofits: the Innocence Project and the African Children's Feeding Scheme.
“Trouble in Town” follows recent singles “Cry Cry Cry,” “Champion of the World” and “Daddy” off the band's eighth studio album, which was preceded by dual singles “Orphans” and “Arabesque.”
To celebrate the disc's release last November, Coldplay performed two concerts in Jordan which were livestreamed via YouTube. But aside from a handful of benefit shows, the band is not touring behind the new album until they can offer carbon-neutral concerts.
