Luke Bryan has closed his Luke's 32 Bridge bar on Nashville’s Lower Broadway until further notice. He shared the news via a video on Instagram yesterday (Monday, March 16th) saying in part, "Due to the COVID-19 and coronavirus situation, we’re going to be closing Luke’s 32 Bridge to keep all of our patrons, all of our staff, and just to comply with what the city of Nashville wants for us, to keep everybody safe and we’re going to be closed. We’ll let you know when we’re going to reopen, when we’re told to reopen. Just wish you guys out there the best during spring break and stay safe, sanitize and we’re all in this together . . ."
Luke made the decision after Nashville mayor John Cooper called on the bars and restaurants in Music City to close fully and/or open to up to 50% capacity.
And he's not the only superstar closing their bar on Broadway — Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson and Blake Shelton have all done the same, with Dierks Bentley following late yesterday afternoon. He shared the news on social media writing, "Just gave last call @whiskeyrownashville as we close the doors for a while. My heart goes out to all the guys/girls on Lower Broad . . ." Dierks also said that he's giving all 90 of their hourly employees $1000 "to help in the short run."
