Dolly Parton has donated $1 million to Nashville’s Vanderbilt hospital to help with research efforts to find a cure for the coronavirus. On Wednesday (April 1st), she tweeted, “My longtime friend Dr. Naji Abumrad, who’s been involved in research at Vanderbilt for many years, informed me that they were making some exciting advancements towards research of the coronavirus for a cure. I am making a donation of $1 million to Vanderbilt towards that research and to encourage people that can afford it to make donations.”
Earlier this week, Dolly said she will be participating in a new YouTube series, “Goodnight With Dolly,” during which she'll read books to kids from her Imagination Library collection.
