Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has released a new album under his Trickfinger alias. The disc, called Look Down, See Us, consists of four tracks of acid house music and can be streamed via Bandcamp.
Frusciante will also release two additional Trickfinger albums in the coming months. A follow-up album called She Smiles Because She Presses The Button will be released on June 3rd. A third, untitled LP will follow later in the year.
All three albums are being put out by Frusciante’s new label, Evar Records, which he founded with his girlfriend, Marcia Pinna. It's described as “an experimental electronic label emphasizing genre defying transitory hybrid musical spaces with music for the brain and body alike.”
Frusciante rejoined the Chili Peppers late last year after a 10-year break, replacing the man who took over for him, Josh Klinghoffer. Tour plans are on hold for now, but the group is working on a new LP.
