Jordan Davis tops the country charts this week with his third Number One hit as both artist and songwriter with "Slow Dance In A Parking Lot." He shared the news on social media yesterday (Monday, April 6th) writing, "I could not think of a better way to cap off 'Home State' than with Slow Dance being its 3rd #1…Congrats to my co-writer Lonnie Fowler on his first #1…THANK YOU, THANK YOU country radio for supporting my music, and being there for me from the start of my career…THANK YOU to the amazing fans that make this the best job in the world…And to my entire team that makes this possible…There are too many to name in a post…but please know that I love you and am so grateful to get to work with y’all and to be a part of country music."
For now, Jordan will have to celebrate the milestone at home with his wife and infant daughter during the continued coronavirus quarantine. He's trying to stay positive during this brief respite from the world, and tells us he's taking this time to "re-center." [“For us, we’re catching up on some movies and some TV shows and also just spending a lot of time with my daughter and my wife, trying to get back into catching up on some books and just kind of re-centering and slowing down a little bit. I hope everybody’s kind of doing that."] SOUNDCUE (:18 OC: . . . of doing that.)
Jordan's previous two chart-toppers are "Singles You Up" and "Take It From Me."
