A new documentary on Canadian rock legends Nickelback is on the way. The news was revealed by guitarist Ryan Peake, who said in a new social media post that the film was “very close to being released.”
Peake explained on Twitter, “We teased a documentary on our tour a year and a half ago. And I won't bore you with all the details — it is very close to being released. So please stay tuned. I would say in the next month or two, we may have something for everybody who wants to see everything Nickelback. Even if you don't wanna see everything Nickelback, we will have it all for you.”
Nickelback has always attracted plenty of haters along with its millions of fans, but frontman Chad Kroeger told us before that he's welcomed the abuse: “I think it's hilarious. All these critics, they're just tireless. They keep ragging on the band. If they had stopped writing all this stuff about us, there would be no controversy left in the band and we probably would have died out years ago. They don't know that they're still responsible for us being (laughs) around today.”
Before the pandemic hit, Nickelback was supposed to hit the road this summer to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its massive 2005 album All The Right Reasons.
