Slipknot Unmasked: All-Out Life, a comprehensive documentary about the masked Iowa rockers, can now be watched on YouTube after previously being available only through BBC Radio One's media player.
The hour-long doc features an intimate six-song performance from the band — one track from each of their albums — for a very small crowd gathered for the event.
Utilizing exclusive interview clips and backstage access, it also covers the highs and lows of the band's career, from multi-platinum album sales and a Grammy win to substance abuse issues and the loss of bassist and songwriter Paul Gray.
Singer Corey Taylor told us a while back that he still finds Slipknot's success during the last two-plus decades improbable: “Nine idiots from Iowa, playing metal, wearing masks, being complete idiots…we made it. It's, God, you can't make this up, but we did, you know.”
Slipknot had been touring earlier this year behind 2019's We Are Not Your Kind album, but recently put all live work on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
