Cardi B has issued a warning to fans in Georgia after the governor announced that barbershops, beauty salons, gyms, nail salons and more can reopen at the end of the week.
She wrote in Baller Alert's comments on Instagram, “I just want to let people DONT GO AROUND YOUR PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS! Once there sick and in the hospital wit covid you won’t be able to see how and what they treating them with. They will literally have them die slow! They are not nurturing covid patience with the proper foods, tea to boost their immunes. STRAIGHT MEDICATION!”
She continued, “Your parents, grandparents or YOU will most likely pass by yourself in a cold hospital with no physical contact with your love ones. HEALTH OVER CAPITALISM!”
KILLER MIKE WON'T BE OPENING HIS BARBERSHOP ON FRIDAY
Cardi B isn't the only hip-hop star speaking out on the reopening of Georgia. Killer Mike has revealed that he has no plans to open his barbershop, The Swag Shop in Atlanta.
He told TMZ, “Our first concern is the safety of our employees and the safety of our customers. And we have an incentive to open, we could use that incentive, and we definitely wanna make money. But at this time, as a business, we aren’t comfortable opening. We’re gonna wait a while before we reopen.”
Keisha Lance Bottoms, the mayor of Atlanta, told CNN that she is “perplexed” that Georgia is opening back up. She said, “And, again, I can’t stress enough, I work very well with our governor, and I look forward to having a better understanding of what this reasoning is, but as I look at the data and as I talk with our public health officials, I don’t see that it’s based on anything that is logical,” Bottoms continued.
She also revealed that Governor Kemp did not consult with her regarding his decision.
