Two of this summer's major rock tours are still not officially postponed or canceled.
Motley Crue's “Stadium Tour,” also starring Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett, is still scheduled to begin on June 18th in Jacksonville, Florida — despite the fact that most major live events through the spring and summer have been either canceled or postponed. Health and industry officials have hinted that staging any large public gatherings for the rest of 2020 is all but out of the question.
When one fan said on social media, “Cancel the tour already so your fans can get their money back. No tours are happening this year. Do the right thing,” the Crue account replied, “Bands don't decide this. We await info as well.” When another user asked, “Is this stadium tour on or off?” the Crue responded, “No one has said anything as yet.”
As for the Hella Mega Tour featuring Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy, set to kick off this June in Europe, the latter's Pete Wentz said, “It’s like we’re circling, waiting to land. Nobody knows anything and it’s hard because we really want to do this tour.”
Wentz added that at this point he knows “as much as you do about what's going to happen with it.”
