Pop Evil will release two new songs, called “Let The Chaos Reign” and “Work,” this Thursday (April 30th) at 11:00 a.m. ET. Short teasers for both tracks are available online at the band's Facebook page.
The tracks are presumably taken from the Michigan act's sixth studio LP, which is due out later this year and will follow up 2018's self-titled effort. That disc contained the hits “Waking Lions” and “Be Legendary.”
Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kakaty said in an interview in February that the band had been hard at work on new material over the winter, explaining, “We have been grinding away, narrowing down 30 written songs to the top picks . . . We have been working with multiple producers that fit each song's dynamic, and we can't wait to unleash these new songs to the world.”
We asked Kakaty a while back what his band's goals were: “You know, what we're hoping at the end of the day, what we're trying to do with this band is inspire and help people. That was the dream when we started, you know, and to see all the people that we've helped along the way thus far, it just gives that much more motivation to get back on the grind, get back on the road and shake the hands with as many people as you can, and to really make it about the fans.”
Pop Evil was slated to begin a North American tour early next month, but that road trip has been postponed for now.
