A Day To Remember guitarist Neil Westfall spoke to Kerrang! magazine about the band's upcoming album, You're Welcome, tentatively due later in the year. Westfall said, “I think this album probably touches more genres than any other A Day To Remember album, and I feel like every song could live in its own world.”
Westfall added, “I don't know if any one (song) that has been released represents the album as a whole . . . but even still, there are things that will come out that everyone's just going to be, like, 'Wow, I didn't even know that they did that.'”
Singer Jeremy McKinnon told us that the band worked with several different producers and writers to make a diverse album: “We worked with different people for different sounds because we're not just like a one-trick pony, you know. Like we have a lot of different subgenres of rock that we like to cover per record. So we sent it out to different people to do different things that we thought they'd kill it at. We tweak it here and there, like, 'I want to hear this part a little bit more, I think this needs to be the featured part here,' but other than that it's been a work in progress with all these people.”
A Day To Remember has shared three tracks from the album so far: “Mindreader,” “Degenerates” and the current single and video, “Resentment,” which has just reached the Top 20 at rock radio.
