Paul McCartney has just posted a new 11-song Spotify playlist on his official PaulMcCartney.com site. Every month McCartney posts a new tracklisting with a specific theme — with May spotlighting some of his favorite collaborations over the years.
Highlights include “Macca's” team-ups with Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Steve Miller, Youth, David Gilmour, the Bloody Beetroots, and his most recent collaboration with Rihanna and Kanye West.
Paul McCartney admitted that the similarities between writing with Elvis Costello and John Lennon went beyond music: “When we came together, there were similarities, really, between him and John. In as much as, like, they both got specs; so people with glasses, y'know, they've got a different sort of attitude towards the world — I think. I mean, I don't mean that as a put-down, they can be a little more introvert. A little more a pussycat in the inside and a little more aggressive on the outside — which John was. I think Elvis is a little bit. Y'know, there's nothing there's nothing wrong with it. I like that in people.”
