Two alternative music staples are leading online festivals this weekend. The Lumineers are spearheading Colorado Gives Back, a livestreamed benefit event that will take place on Friday (May 8th) starting at 3:00 p.m. on the Lumineers' YouTube channel.
Guests will include musicians, athletes, politicians and others, including OneRepublic, Jewel, Nathaniel Rateliff, former Governor John Hickenlooper, legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
The live stream will benefit and bring awareness to individuals in the national music community as well as those in the Colorado restaurant services industry who have lost their income and revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations will be directed to the Colorado Restaurant Association and to the Recording Academy's MusiCares, with matching donations from Spotify.
Meanwhile, Judah And The Lion will host Friends at Home Fest on Saturday (May 9th), starting at 5:30 p.m. ET on Instagram. Guests will include AWOLNation, Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, K.Flay, Mat Kearney and many more.
They'll play songs, catch up, and have a socially distant good time while collecting money for musicians and crew members unable to tour due to COVID-19. All donations will benefit MusiCares, United Way and CrewNation.
