The Black Keys, one of the last acts to not scrap all its live plans for 2020 in the wake of the pandemic, announced on Tuesday (May 12th) that their summer North American headlining tour has been canceled.
The band said in a statement, “We are very disappointed to let you know the US Let's Rock Summer tour is no longer happening. We were looking forward to seeing you all out there, but the health and safety of our fans and crew has to take priority. We hope to see you all soon. Please stay safe!”
Ticket holders will be emailed with their refund options for the 36-date trek, which was scheduled to kick off on July 7th in Seattle and wind down on September 6th in Jacksonville, Florida.
The tour was in support of the Black Keys' ninth studio album, “Let's Rock,” which was released in June 2019.
