The 1975 has shared yet another single from its upcoming fourth album, Notes On A Conditional Form. Called “Guys,” the tune is the eighth previewed from the LP and it’s dedicated by frontman Matty Healy to his bandmates.
Healy told Apple Music, “It came quite easy, that song . . . I think I just wanted to write a love letter to friendship, as opposed to every love song being about our romantic relationships. I think that our friendships are obviously our most formative relationships.”
The much-delayed album is finally due out on May 22nd, when fans can hear the other 14 tracks still to be revealed. Songs that have been shared already include “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know),” “People,” “Frail State Of Mind,” “Me & You Together Song,” “The Birthday Party” and “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America.”
Notes On A Conditional Form has been delayed repeatedly. The follow-up to 2018's A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships was first supposed to come out in May 2019, before bumped to February 21st, 2020, then April 24th and now next week.
