JASON DERULO #FIGHTS4THEPLANET WITH TIKTOK CHALLENGE: Jason Derulo has partnered with the popular video game “PUB G Mobile” for a social impact campaign called #FIGHT4THEPLANET to raise awareness of climate change. As part of the campaign, “PUB G Mobile” has donated $100,000 to the non-profit organization Global Green. Jason’s dance challenge – which shows him dancing in a sandstorm while magically changing outfits – is meant to mimic an in-game sandstorm that “PUB G” Mobile contestants recently had to fight. The dance challenge earned more than a million views in less than 24 hours.
BTS BANDMEMBER JUNGKOOK TESTED FOR CORONAVIRUS: Jungkook from BTS has been tested for Coronavirus after going out to a restaurant with a group of friends. The results came back negative. The BTS member went out to a restaurant with other K-Pop stars NCT 127’s Jaehyun, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and Cha Eunwoo from ASTRO near the end of April. BTS management, Big Hit Entertainment, confirmed that Jungkook’s results came back negative, as did the other singers as well. “The artist himself is currently feeling deeply regretful for not having faithfully contributed to the entire society’s social distancing efforts,” they added.
TAYLOR SWIFT RELEASES LIVE SONGS FROM ‘CITY OF LOVER’ PARIS CONCERT: Taylor Swift has released the live versions of her songs from her Lover album. After her City of Lover concert special aired on ABC on Sunday night, Taylor released the live versions of the songs she sang during the special. The concert was filmed back in September of 2019 at L’Olympia Theater in Paris, France, and featured Taylor singing songs off Lover to fans from over 37 countries. Taylor Swift City of Lover is available now on Hulu and Disney+.
HARRY STYLES RELEASES ‘TOUCHING’ MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘WATERMELON SUGAR’: Harry Styles has premiered the music video for “Watermelon Sugar,” the fourth single from his second solo album, The Fine Line. The video opens with the words: “This video is dedicated to touching.” “Watermelon Sugar,” filmed in January, before social distancing measures went into effect to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, sees Styles engage in plenty of touching with a harem of bikini-clad models as they eat watermelon and other fruits on a beach. “Watermelon Sugar” was certified platinum by the RIAA earlier this month.
CEE LO GREEN AND SHAKIRA RETURNING TO ‘THE VOICE’ FOR SEASON 18 FINALE: Former Voice coaches Cee Lo Green and Shakira will be returning for the show’s two-hour Season 18 finale tonight. The two will join current coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas, Battle Round advisor Bebe Rexha, and this season’s Top 9 for a supergroup performance of “Let My Love Open the Door,” by Pete Townshend. Other finale performances will include Gwen Stefani and Blake singing their duet “Nobody but You,” Kelly singing her new song, “I Dare You,” and Nick covering “Until We Meet Again,” as well as performing with the Jonas Brothers and Karol G on their new single, “X.”
