Foreigner's “Juke Box Hero Tour 2020” with special guests Kansas and Europe has been pushed back until 2021. The 40-date trek was set to open on July 9th in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Isleta Amphitheater and criss-cross North America before wrapping on September 13th in Austin, Texas at Germania Insurance Amphitheater.
A message was posted online to the band's fans on Foreigneronline.com, which reads:
To all our friends, Foreigner is disappointed to share the inevitable news that our Juke Box Heroes 2020 tour will no longer be taking place.
Mick Jones had this to say:
“We were very much looking forward to seeing you all at what promised to be a memorable evening of classic rock hits with Kansas and Europe this summer. We are grateful that so many of you had purchased tickets and we were looking forward to the tour as much as you were. We will get through this together and can’t wait to see you all again as soon as safely possible. If you have tickets for our Red Rocks show on July 22, please note that this date has been moved to July 22, 2021 as a Foreigner performance with a full orchestra. All tickets for this year’s show will be honored. We will be announcing the rest of our plans for 2021 shortly, and we hope to see you then!”
All ticket holders will be emailed directly with their refund options if their show is no longer happening or if they purchased tickets to the Red Rocks date and cannot attend or would prefer a refund. Visit livenation.com/refund for more information.
When we last caught up with Mick Jones, he told us that he's thrilled with the fact that the older the songs get — the younger the audience seems to be: “Luckily, we have a lot of great attendance at our shows and it's fun playing for younger folk. There's a lot of interest from younger people that must've heard it passed down from their parents, their siblings or whatever. Y'know, some nights you look out there and you wonder what year it is. It's like kids singing the songs, know the lyrics, go crazy and it's like, wow, am I still. . . is this still happening, y'know (laughs)?”
