BTS MEMBER SUGA’S AGENCY APOLOGIZES FOR CONTROVERSIAL JIM JONES SPEECH SAMPLE: BTS rapper Suga went viral for his song called “What Do You Think?” which samples a speech by cult leader Jim Jones, who was responsible for the Jonestown Massacre, which resulted in the death of over 900 people. In a statement issued on Sunday, Suga’s agency Big Hitclaimed that they were not aware of the sample’s source and its implications, and that Suga “feels embarrassed and deeply responsible for a problem that has arisen in an area that he did not consider.” They have reportedly deleted the part in question, and re-uploaded the new version.
