Rage Against The Machine singer Zack de le Rocha and Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme make guest appearances on the new album from rap combo Run The Jewels, titled RTJ4.
De la Rocha contributes to a song called “Ju$t” alongside Pharrell Williams, while Homme and Mavis Staples show up on “Pulling The Pin.” Run the Jewels have a history with De la Rocha, who previously appeared on their RTJ2 record with one of the band's first hit songs, “Close Your Eyes (And Count to F**k).”
Run The Jewels moved the digital release of the LP up from Friday (June 5th) to Wednesday (June 3rd) as a free download, with the duo accepting donations that will go to the National Lawyers Guild Mass Defense Fund. A physical version arrives in September.
Rage was supposed to be touring this summer — with Run The Jewels on board for some of that trek — but unfortunately their much-anticipated reunion tour was sidelined due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The politically charged band will now hit the road beginning June 3rd, 2021, in El Paso, Texas.
