The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen said in a new radio interview that live music and rock 'n' roll are not going to go away forever as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Momsen was asked during a chat with Boise. Idaho's 100.3 KQXR about her band's inability to tour at the moment. She replied, “It's a real bummer. We were supposed to be on tour right now. We had some of the best touring lined up in our career. It was all the festivals, it was the Foo Fighters, it was Guns N' Roses, it was Pearl Jam — the list goes on and on.”
The actress-turned-rocker added, “I do know that live music and rock and roll, it's not gonna go away forever — it can't. It's lifeblood. People need it, musicians need it. So I know that musicians will figure out a way to do it.”
Momsen told us that while her band's plans are still to be determined, she's glad to have music out and is ready to play when she can: “Right now it's really all up in the air, but I am excited that the single's out and that people can hear it, and at least that there's something new for people to listen to, and that I am excited that when this is all cleared up — which it will clear up — I feel like live music's gonna come back bigger and better than ever 'cause everyone's just itching to get out. I mean, I know I am — I'm dying to play live.”
Death By Rock And Roll, the fourth studio album from The Pretty Reckless, will arrive in January 2021. The title track has just cracked the Top 10 at rock radio.
