The Killers have shared a rousing new song called “My Own Soul's Warning,” taken from the band's upcoming sixth studio album, Imploding The Mirage.
The tune is actually the opening number of the LP, which was originally slated to arrive on May 29th but is now delayed indefinitely. Previous cuts previewed from the disc include “Fire In Bone,” “Blowback” and the first official single, “Caution,” which recently hit the Top Five at Modern Rock radio.
Imploding The Mirage is also the Killers’ first album without original guitarist Dave Keuning, but it will feature guest appearances from Lindsey Buckingham, K.D. Lang, Weyes Blood, The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel, Blake Mills and more.
The Killers also recently posted a new, stripped-down rendition of their 2019 protest song “Land Of The Free,” featuring newly revised lyrics that address the death of George Floyd. The original version of the song came out in January 2019. It spoke out against gun violence and Donald Trump‘s proposed border wall.
