Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine has found a positive way to make it through the pandemic. He said, “It's a blessing, as artists and musicians, we can take a deep dive in our creative world and create some new stuff, some new songs — to write lyrics, to compose songs. It feels so good that we can work and not sit at home, staring out of the window.”
Meine, and other band members spent May and part of June in a studio in Hannover, Germany working on new music. Here’s how they did it… Meine, along with members Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs would meet up at the studio every night and then connect via Zoom with producer Greg Fidelman, who was in Los Angeles. He said, “For us, at dinner time, and for him, it was, like, around breakfast. We made great progress with the record, believe it or not. So, it's pretty crazy, but it's been working so far very well.”
According to Meine, there will be no outside writers at all. The band is hoping for a release date sometime next year.
