Katy Perry has unveiled the title and artwork for her forthcoming fifth studio album, Smile.
“Step right up! Step right up! 🎪 KP5 is called 🙂 #SMILE 🙂,” she wrote on social media. “I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light – with stories of resilience, hope, and love. Listen to the song at midnight local time Friday, July 10 and pre-order the album at the link in bio. ♥️,” she continued.
The title track is out now and the album will be released on August 14th.

Perry has released a string of singles in the past few months; in May, she dropped “Daisies,” along with an accompanying visual. Prior to “Daisies,” Perry released “Harleys in Hawaii,” “Small Talk,” “Never Really Over,” and “365.”
In March, Perry released a video for her single “Never Worn White,” in which she revealed her pregnancy.
