Mike Shinoda has released the video for his new single, “Open Door.” The clip shows how he created the song during his daily Twitch livestreams, and it stars the fans he selected to join him on the track.
“Open Door” is included on Shinoda's new solo project, Dropped Frames Vol.1, which was released on Friday (July 10th). The Linkin Park member created all the songs with the assistance of his fans on Twitch.
Shinoda told NME, “The collection of songs is a highlight reel of the tracks I make on the channel, but a big part of the experience is the stream itself. When I start, I usually have very little idea of where it will go. What comes out is a product of the viewers’ suggestions, my spur-of-the-moment ideas, and whatever inexplicable magic is floating in between.”
Dropped Frames Vol.1 is the followup to Shinoda's 2018 solo project, Post Traumatic.
