Megan Thee Stallion has broken her silence on the incident that occured this past weekend in the Hollywood Hills. As previously reported by TMZ, Tory Lanez was arrested on Sunday morning (July 12th) after cops received a call of a disturbance outside of a residence. When cops arrived, people were arguing in an SUV and multiple shots were then fired in the air and then the car took off. The cops tracked down the car and detained Megan, Tory and another woman. Tory was taken in after a gun was found in his car. It was said that Megan had cut her foot on glass and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Megan took to Instagram to set the record straight on the incident, saying that she was the person who was shot. She said, “The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”
She continued, “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
She added, “I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible. This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”
