Rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who was allegedly shot in the foot earlier this month while attempting to leave Tory Lanez‘s SUV, isn’t here for the Bobby & Whitney comparisons. Former Basketball Wives star Draya Michele made the comparison on Steelo Brim's podcast Wine & Weed featuring Draya and Van Lathan. Michelle said, “I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that drove them down this Snapped-esque type of road. I'm here for it . . . I like that. I want you to like me so much you shoot me in the foot too.”
- When her co-hosts reacted to Michele’s statement, she added, “I want you to like me so much that if I'm tryna get out the car and you're like, 'No, sit your f**kin’ ass in the car,' And I'm like, 'No, n***a. I'm f**kin’ gettin’ out the car.' 'No, you're not.' pow, pow.”
- She added, “I want…If my man tells me to sit down or don't get out this car, I wanna be like, 'I'm not about to get out this car ’cause this n***a might shoot me.'”
- Michele quickly issued an apology after receiving some Twitter backlash. She tweeted,. “I truly don’t glorify domestic violence…I was trying to say just love me deeply. But while trying to be funny, I offended many, including meg. And I’m sorry.”
- The apology wasn’t enough for Megan Thee Stallion. She tweeted, “Dumb b**ch that s**t ain’t f**king funny who tf jokes about getting shot by a n***a.”
- She followed that tweet with, “And f**k all the hoe a** n***as making jokes about it too🖕🏾 I’ll talk about s**t when I get ready.”
- So far the incident is still under investigation. Lanez has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
