A movie about Chris Cornell's final moments is currently in production but it “is not sanctioned or approved” by the late singer's estate, according to a representative for the family. The biopic, called Black Days, is “based on true events about the last days in the life of grunge music icon Chris Cornell,” according to the movie casting website Backstage, however Cornell's estate told Pitchfork that “no one contacted the estate for any information.” Shooting for the film is set to begin in Los Angeles on Sept. 10th.
Cornell committed suicide in 2017 at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife and three children.
