DEATH CAB TO CELEBRATE 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF 'PLANS' WITH LIVESTREAM: Death Cab For Cutie will celebrate the 15th anniverssasry of their fifth LP, Plans, by livestreaming the video album Saturday, September, 5th on YouTube. The film, Directions, was released the year after Plans and features all tracks from the album. Plans was Death Cab's first studio album released through a major label, Atlantic. (NME)
TRIVIUM COVERS POWER TRIP AS TRIBUTE TO RILEY GALE: Trivium paid tribute to Power Trip's frontman Riley Gale during their “The Deepest Cuts” stream. Singer Matt Heafy introduced their cover of “Executioner's Tax” by saying, “Riley will be greatly missed, everyone remembers him as being an undeniably incredible frontman which he was, with a voice that sounded like no one else… We want to pay tribute here, we hope we do it justice… ” Gale died last week on August 25th at the age of 34.
