Dan + Shay have released a brand new version of their latest single “I Should Probably Go To Bed,” and it's currently available everywhere. The track and music video were recorded live at Ocean Way Studio in Nashville, TN. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney co-wrote the song, which was produced solely by Dan.
The global pandemic has turned everyone's year on its head, including Dan + Shay. Their headlining tour for the year was scrapped, along with everyone else's, and while they're working on new music, Dan tells us EXCLUSIVELY that he's not sure if the duo will be ready to release an album this year or wait and let it coincide with the next tour. “I think right now we're just taking it one step at a time. You know, we're using all of this excess time that we have on our hands to really dive in and focus on what's important and that's each song, and this one, we really spent a lot of time getting all the details right on it, so I think whatever we do next will be the same attention to detail and whether that wraps up into an album sometime this year I'm not sure yet. We're kind of just taking it one day at a time. All I know is we're super fired up about this one and it feels good to like have a little bit of purpose again, you know — get a song out there in the world and have something to look forward to.”
“I Should Probably Go To Bed” has already accumulated 45 million global streams and is approaching Top 10 at Hot AC and Top 20 at country radio.
