Lamb of God have been busy during the pandemic, including releasing their new self-titled studio album in June, writing and recording a song for the new movie Bill & Ted Face the Music, and and even recently releasing a new small batch coffee called Momento Mori.
The coffee was the idea of Lamb of God guitarist Willie Adler. He told Heavy Consequence that after spending an entire tour in search of the best coffee shops around the world, Adler decided to buy old popcorn machines to try his hand at roasting his own coffee before upgrading to a designated coffee roasting machine.
He spilled the beans, so to speak, on his favorite coffee shops, including one in South Africa called Truth, and another a little closer to home called Coffee Fox in Savannah, Georgia.
As far as the new Bill & Ted movie, Adler said the song “The Death of Us” “was 100-percent written for the movie . . . We got word that the music supervisor for the new Bill & Ted movie wanted us specifically to write a song for the movie. They even gave us parameters, which was a little weird . . . They sent us audio clips that they wanted us to base the song around. At the time, Randy and I were spending a lot of time together, so we just knocked it out. And then Mark jumped in, and we got it done. It was weird, but it came together really quick and I remember the night that we sent it over to the music supervisor. We were waiting around that evening and got word back from management that they f**king loved it.”
Lamb Of God will perform two different livestreams playing songs from two different albums in their entirety later this month. The first show will happen on Sept. 18th where Lamb of God will play their 2019 self-titled album in full for the first time. The second is scheduled for Sept. 25th with a performance of their 2004 album, Ashes Of The Wake. Both shows will originate from the band's hometown of Richmond, VA.
Tickets are available for purchase online at watch.lamb-of-god.com. A single show ticket is $15 while a limited time offer for tickets to both shows is $20.
