Selena Gomez just voted for the first time.
The 28-year-old posted a photo to Instagram Thursday (October 22nd) that showed her “I VOTED” sticker, but she didn’t reveal until Tuesday (October 27th) that it was her first time casting a ballot.
Gomez told the Voting Power Hour YouTube stream with Loud Luxury, “Honestly, I'm not ashamed to say this, but I kind of, I kind of—this was my first time.”
Although she was eager to make her vote count, she also made sure to do it safely. The singer – who had a kidney transplant in 2017, following a her lupus diagnosis – said that she mailed in her ballot although she “would prefer to do it in person”.
