Cheap Trick has a new record label and a new album in the can. Lead singer Robin Zander appeared on AXS TV's At Home And Social, and broke the news about the new music: “We have an album that's already done and it's ready to go that has put on hold because of the virus. We're very excited about it. We just, we signed a deal with BMG, and we'll see what happens. Y'know, we've made a lot of records, and we just continue making records; for ourselves mostly, but also for our immediate fans that still cling to us. And it's, it's something I think is our lifeblood. It keeps us going.”
Cheap Trick guitarist and main songwriter, Rick Nielsen told us that in the simplest terms, Cheap Trick was built to write, record, and perform: “When there's a project, there a reason to do stuff. Y'know, we don't really do many things for other groups — y'know, they don't call us and say — 'you want this or that?' I mean, I've done — or we've done some stuff for, y'know, TV shows, and movie soundtracks, and commercials, and we're not huge stars. Makin' records is, like, one of the ambitions we always had. I don't think that desire has never gone away.”
