Dave Grohl has admitted defeat in the ongoing drum battles with 10-year-old Nandi Bushell. The two have gone back and forth on various rock songs during the pandemic.
The Foo Fighters frontman was a recent guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where he said, “There was nothing I could do! I was literally being called out by the school bully — ‘I’ll see you on the playground after school!’ Every time she would put out these videos on her page, I’d be like, oh my God, I’m gonna get my ass kicked again.”
Grohl first took notice of Bushell after she shared her take on Nirvana's “In Bloom” on YouTube earlier this year. Of the cover, Grohl said, “She’s beating the crap out of her drum set, and when she does drum rolls, she screams. I was like, oh my God, this kid is a force of nature.”
Foo Fighters' new album, Medicine At Midnight, will be released on Feb. 5th. The new single is called “Shame, Shame.”
