Casanova turned himself into federal custody yesterday (December 2nd) after being indicted in a gang-related racketeering conspiracy case. As previously reported, the rapper, along with 17 others, has been accused of being a part of the Untouchable Gorrilla Stone Nation gang that “committed murder, shootings, robberies, and assaults against their rivals and against fellow members of Gorilla Stone.” The indictment also accused the gang of selling coke and crack in New York City and surrounding suburbs.
According to TMZ, the rapper surrendered on Wednesday night at around 11:15 pm est before being taken into custody by the FBI. Federal prosecutors alleged that the gang also “engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Casanova was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit racketeering, one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and one count of possession of a firearm for drug-trafficking. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
Casanova's significant other Swaggy Jazzy shared a video of him before he turned himself in. In the clip, he told her that he loved her and that he will see her soon. She captioned the clip, “Last night was the longest, worst, emotional ride of my life riding with my husband to surrender hisself knowing what he’s up against. Don’t believe everything you see! my husband is innocent until proven guilty always remember that and we’re gonna fight for his freedom!”
G HERBO TURNS HIMSELF IN
Meanwhile, G Herbo also turned himself in yesterday (December 3rd) after he and four people from his crew were busted in an alleged $1.5 million fraud scheme. They are being accused of allegedly using stolen credit card info to buy trips on private jets, limo rides and designer puppies.
According to Page Six, Herbo and music promoter Antonio Strong were charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and identity theft in federal court.
In addition, Chicago rapper Rockstar Rodie, was also charged in connection to the fraud.
Court hearings for the case hasn't been scheduled yet.
