Jamie Spears spoke with CNN Tuesday (December 15th) about his daughter Britney Spears’ conservatorship.
Jamie told the news outlet that he has not spoken with his daughter since August when Britney’s attorney filed to remove him as conservator.
The 68-year-old said, “I love my daughter and I miss her very much. When a family member needs special care and protection, families need to step up, as I have done for the last 12-plus years, to safeguard, protect and continue to love Britney unconditionally.”
Prior to the August filing, the two were reportedly on good terms.
Jamie’s attorney Vivian Lee Thoreen told CNN, “Until Britney's court-appointed attorney Sam Ingham abruptly instructed Jamie not to contact Britney a few months ago, Jamie and Britney had spoken often and regularly throughout the entire conservatorship.”
Jamie heads back to court Wednesday (December 16th) where a judge will review how he has handled Britney’s assets. The hearing comes one month after a judge declined to suspend him from his role in her conservatorship.
