During a chat with with Tim McGraw on his new Beyond The Influence Radio on Apple Music, Bruce Springsteen spoke candidly about his workout regimen. “The Boss,” who's now 71, could easily be mistaken for a man 25 years younger. He explained how he keeps in such fantastic physical shape, saying, “The biggest thing is diet, diet, diet. I don't eat too much, and I don't eat bad food, except for every once in a while when I want to have some fun for myself. So I think anybody that's trying to get in shape, exercise is always important of course, but diet is 90 percent of the game.”
Springsteen, whose bandana and buffed-up “pumping iron” biceps came to define the mid-1980's, admitted: “I don't do that much right now. I lift a little weight to stay toned. I may get on the treadmill. I walk. I don't run anymore.”
Bruce Springsteen is hoping to be back on the road with the E Street Band in 2022. During a recent chat with The Bellissimo Files, Bruce Springsteen explained the feelings behind what it takes to be a performing entertainer: “The stage is a unique place; it's pretend, first of all. So, you're making believe — though, you're trying to experience and communicate authentic emotion. And you present a picture of a world and a life that your audience enters with you, where you communicate and experience a set of common values and dreams and interests with the people that you've been in conversation with for 40, or 45 years — or with some of them, only five years, or for the first time that night.”
