Death Cab for Cutie have released their five-song The Georgia E.P. to all digital service providers. The project, which features covers of iconic artists from the state of Georgia, was originally released in December as a 24-hour Bandcamp exclusive to raise money for Fair Fight Action, Stacey Abrams‘ voting rights organization.
The Georgia E.P. was recorded remotely over just four days in the band members’ home studios. It will also be made available as a limited-edition peach-colored vinyl. Death Cab For Cutie released a video message for fans yesterday (Wednesday, Jan. 13th) explaining their decision to re-release the project was “because we are so happy with the results of the recent Georgia runoff elections.”
The Georgia E.P. raised over $100K for Fair Fight Action.
